Tunisian Activists Examine the Threat of Authoritarian Resurgence

In a panel discussion hosted by the Program on Arab Reform and Democracy on October 29, 2021, Tunisian Member of Parliament Saida Ounissi and I Watch Founder Achraf Aouadi examined the evolving political conflicts in Tunisia since the July 25 power grab executed by President Kais Saied. The panelists discussed the challenges recent developments have posed to Tunisia's struggling democracy and the prospects for building consensus around an inclusive process of political reform.
