During his visit to CDDRL, Gombojavyn Zandanshatar learned about Stanford's Center for Deliberative Democracy and its work on deliberative polling, and he connected with Professor James Fishkin. Now, Mongolia is the first country to legislate Deliberative Polling for Constitutional amendments.
Gombojavyn Zandanshatar, Mongolia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 2009 to 2012, and currently a member of the Mongolian parliament, was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford's Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law from 2014 - 2016. During his visit to CDDRL Zandanshatar learned about Stanford's Center for Deliberative Democracy and its work on deliberative polling, and he connected with Professor James Fishkin.
