Israel Program Mission
About the program
Mission Statement
The mission of the Jan Koum Israel Studies Program is to advance student, faculty, and public knowledge of modern Israel. The program will offer courses and nurture research about the State of Israel: its history, Zionism, culture, democracy, economy, environment, law, security, and technological innovation. The program aims to cultivate future leaders who understand Israel and its place in the region as well as the international system. Through its educational activities, research, and public engagement, the program is committed to combating anti-Israel bias and antisemitism (as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and addressed in the Report from the Stanford Subcommittee on Antisemitism and Anti-Israeli Bias).
