Special Event: Combating Corruption in Democratic Societies

On May 30, 2016 Stanford's Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) together with our partners at Poder Ciudadano and the Office of Anti-Corruption hosted a special event to showcase global anti-corruption practices in Buenos Aires, Argentina. CDDRL and our partners were joined by distinguised panelists, who included; Monica Macovei, former Minister of Justice of Romania; Iván Velásquez Gómez, CICIG, Guatemala; and Erry Hardjapamekas, former head of the Indonesian anti-corruption commission. The panel was moderated by Hugo Alconada, a leading Argentine journalist and author on anti-corruption.
