Human Trafficking in ASEAN: National Coordination and Regional Action Plans

On Wednesday, November 12, representatives from the Australian-Asia Program to Combat Trafficking in Persons (AAPTIP) Ohnmar Ei Ei Chaw, country program coordinator (Burma), and Mark Taylor, team leader came to Stanford to speak on human trafficking in ASEAN countries, highlighting the need for more national coordination and regional action plans. Shorenstein APARC's Southeast Asia Program Director Don Emmerson also participated as a discussant. The talk was moderated by Helen Stacy, director for CDDRL's Program on Human Rights.
