Graduate Student Employment Opportunity

Javascript and Python programmer

Deadline: Sunday, October 2, 2016

Stanford’s Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) seeks to hire a graduate student who can assist setting up a cross-country online experiment aimed at better understanding the legitimacy of material incentives in labor relations. The experiment is an online game to be played with subjects from the US, India, and South Africa. The successful candidate will work with UbiquityLab, a novel platform to conduct large-scale online experiments with real-time interactions among participants.

We are looking for an experienced Javascript and Python programmer who can write simple code to deliver an intuitive, engaging front-end user interface for the game. You will be working in collaboration with economists and experimentalists from Stanford, Cambridge, and Oxford universities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the research and to increase your knowledge of the design and implementation of internet gaming across countries.

The candidate must be able to commit 20 hours/week to the project from start to finish (approximately 6 months). We pay $25.00/hour. To apply please email your cover letter and CV to Alice Kada at akada@stanford.edu, or via Handshake https://stanford.joinhandshake.com/jobs/437422.
