Sofia Mac Gregor Oettler
Sofia holds a Master in International Education Policy Analysis and a Master in Public Policy from Stanford University. Before coming to Stanford, she studied a Bachelor in Economics in ITAM. Her recent research analyzes the impact of the Mexican War on Drugs on student outcomes and on violence against women. She is interested in researching policies that help to contain violence, and that provide alternatives for at-risk youth. In the Program on Poverty and Governance, Sofia is analyzing the impact of non-formal education programs in violent settings. Moreover, she’s doing research on the dynamics of violence against women in Mexico.
