Jonathan Arriaga is a Postdoctoral Scholar for the Program on Poverty and Governance (POVGOV) at CDDRL. He finished his PhD in Information Technology and Communications with specialization in Finance and Optimization Methods. His PhD dissertation focused on trading rules and portfolio optimization. His research interests include machine learning and optimization methods. He is involved in POVGOV’s projects on police accountability and use of force, crime and security, and violence prevention in Mexico. Before attending Stanford, Jonathan worked at MSCI Inc. as an Analytics Model Engineer. He also worked as a Data Scientist at GE Aviation. He holds a M.Sc. in Intelligent Systems from ITESM and Bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering from ITESM.
