Blueprint for Bipartisanship: A Conversation with Senator Olympia Snowe and Jason Grumet

On Tuesday, November 11, CDDRL welcomed former Senator Olympia Snowe and Jason Grumet, president of the Bipartisan Policy Center. The panel conversation, moderated by Stanford political science professor and director of the Bill Lane Center for the American West, Bruce Cain, examined prospects for bipartisanship in America. Despite a heavily gridlocked Congress, Senator Snowe and Grumet believe that with more dialogue among politicians of both parties, efficient bipartisanship can be achieved. The event closed with an emphasis on youth participation and engagement in public service, with undergraduate students comprising more than half the audience.
